Hagerstown Suns News Release

The Hagerstown Suns return home to Municipal Stadium for a 3-game series on Wednesday, April 18th, following an 8-game road trip against Lexington and Greensboro. This series fans can see top prospects Chris Marrero and Stephen King take on the Lake County Captains, a Cleveland Indians affiliate.

The homestand kicks off Wednesday at 6:35 p.m., as the Suns host the first Kids Eat Free Wednesday of the season. Throughout the season any child paying for a full-price General Admission youth ticket for $5.00 will receive a coupon for a free hot dog, popcorn, drink and candy box, courtesy of Susquehanna Bank and Lite 97.5fm.

On April 19th, the Suns will be hosting the first "Hagerstown McDreamy" contest, celebrating the hit TV show Grey's Anatomy. The competition will take place during the game and will have three rounds including a "scrubs" fashion parade, a medical spelling bee and a McDreamiest hair competition. Local nurses will be invited to help judge the five contestants, and the winner will receive a comb, mirror, box of Band-Aids and a Suns prize pack. Fans can sign up at the Fan Services Center at Municipal Stadium. As always, Thursday is a Ladies Night, with prizes available for female fans and a "Thirsty Thursday," presented by Classic Rock 101.5fm. All 12oz domestic draft beers are just $1.25 all night long. Game time is 6:35 p.m.

The Suns will hold their annual Strike Out Tobacco day at the ballpark on Friday, April 20th. Activities will include a pre-game educational presentation and anti-tobacco related in-game promotions. All Washington County Elementary and Middle School students received a free ticket as part of the Suns multi-faceted anti-tobacco campaign in 2007. Game time is 6:35 p.m.

The Suns are a single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals and are owned by Los Angeles based Mandalay Baseball Properties. For more information, or to purchase tickets, contact the Suns at 301.791.6266 or visit online at www.hagerstownsuns.com.
