
Three Former Talons Return For 08

Tulsa Talons News Release
The Tulsa Talons, of the af2, have officially been assigned, K Luke Phillips, WR/DB Jermaine Hope and DL Terrance Carter. All return after a successful 2007 season with the Talons. With less than thirty days away from the Talons season opener, the 2008 roster is filling up.
Luke Phillips, (6-0, 185), returns for his third year in the af2 and with the Talons. Phillips played in all 16 regular season games, as well as the playoffs and ArenaCup Championship in 2007. He scored 140 points during the regular season and recorded 7 solo tackles. Prior to his af2 career, Phillips kicked for Oklahoma State University, where he received All-Big 12 awards for three consecutive years, and tied a school record for most extra point conversions in a game (9). His 263 career points ranks him 7th on OSU's all-time scoring chart.
Jermaine Hope, (5-9, 175), returns for his third year of arena ball. He was a defensive leader for the Talons in 2007, playing in 15 regular season games and recording 59.5 total tackles (53 solo), 9 interceptions for 140 yards and 22 pass breakups. Hope was a four-year letter winner and a three-year starter for the University of Tulsa. He was a two time "All WAC Second Team Selection".
Terrance Carter, (6-4, 270), is returning for his second year with the Talons. As a Defensive Lineman in 2007, Carter recorded 25.5 total tackles (20 solo), 5.5 sacks and 19 quarterback hurries. He played in 15 regular season games, had one fumble recovery and scored 6 points. Carter was a four-year letterman at Colorado State University, playing in 29 career games as a Ram.
