Richmond, VA - (Thursday, July 3, 2008) - The Richmond Kickers Destiny are pleased to announce three players have been called up to participate in the 2008 Nordic Cup, set to take place July 15-21 in Sweden. American defender Nikki Krzysik, English defender Kylie Davies and English forward Dunia Susi will represent their respective countries next week. The Nordic Cup is a U-23 tournament which pits the United States against Europe's top teams. The US and England will compete in the same group, alongside Switzerland and Norway.

A rising senior at the University of Virginia, Krzysik has made five appearances with the Destiny this season and led the defensive unit to their first shutout in a 4-0 win over the West Virginia Illusion last season. An active member of the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team, Krzysik was an integral component of the U.S team that won the 2006 CONCACAF U-20 Final Women's Qualifying Tournament in Mexico. She also has experience at the U-19 level, making two appearances for the U.S. at the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship.

In her second season with the Destiny, Davies has made nine appearances in Richmond, while splitting time with the U-23 England National Team. A highly regarded England youth international at the U-17, U-19 and U-23 level, Davies was an integral part of England's 2007 Nordic Cup team last summer. She was also a member of the 2007 Great Britain University Games squad that finished sixth overall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 22-year old defender signed with Chelsea from Fulham prior to the 2006 season.

Newcomer this season, Susi has made an immediate impact on the Destiny's attack, firing 19 shots in four games played, while netting a pair of goals in the Destiny's 4-0 victory last weekend. Susi receives her second call-up to the U-23 England Nordic Cup team after competing alongside Davies' last season. The 5'7" forward with lightning pace attends the University of Westminster and is a native of London, England. Susi's experience extends to the 2007 Great Britain University Games squad, England's 2004 U-19 European Championship squad and the Nike Joga Bonito Great Britain Championship squad.

The Destiny hit the road for their next two matches, facing the Hampton Roads Piranhas tonight, July 3rd before meeting the Illusion in West Virginia on July 11th. The Destiny return home for their final two home matches of the 2008 campaign on Sunday, July 13th to host the Carolina Dynamo and Saturday, July 19th when they host the Bradenton Athletics.
