
Three Broncos Invited to NHL Scouting Combine

Swift Current, SK - Swift Current Broncos defenceman Julius Honka, Brycen Martin and Brett Lernout are among 119 of the top NHL draft-eligible players from North America and Europe who have been invited to the 2014 NHL Scouting Combine which will be held May 26-31st in Toronto, ON.
Honka is currently ranked 11th amongst North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final Draft Rankings. The 5'11", 180-pound product of Jyvaskyla, Finland recorded 56 points (16-40-56) and 52 penalty minutes in 62 games played in his rookie campaign with the Broncos.
Martin is currently ranked 26th amongst North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final Draft Rankings. The 6'2", 195-pound product of Calgary, AB posted 37 points (6-31-37) in 72 games played with the Broncos this year (nearly doubling his point totals from last season).
Lernout is currently ranked 52nd amongst North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final Draft Rankings. The 6'4", 206-pound product of Winnipeg, MB recorded 22 points (8-14-22) and 103 penalty minutes in 72 games played with the Broncos this year.
The Combine consists of three elements (team interviews, medical examinations, physical testing) and players participate in all segments.
The 2014 NHL Entry Draft will take place June 27-28, 2014 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
