
Three Additions for M-Braves

Mississippi Braves News Release
Pearl, MS - The Atlanta Braves promoted three players to the Mississippi Braves Thursday afternoon. RHP Cory Gearrin, LHP Tommy Palica and C Chris Anderson were all three promoted to AA Mississippi from High-A Myrtle Beach. Gearrin and Palica will join the M-Braves for the second time this year while this will be Anderson's first stint in AA.
Gearrin went 1-2 with a 3.18 ERA through 18 games with the M-Braves earlier this year. He fanned 17 in 22.2 innings while converting two of three save opportunities. Palica was 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA through seven games with the M-Braves. He struck out nine in as many innings.
Anderson has split 2009 between Danville, Rome and Myrtle Beach. Through only four games in Myrtle Beach, he hit .143 with one home run and two runs scored.
Mississippi's roster now has 23 active players with three players on the disabled list.
