
Thorns FC to Host Chicago Red Stars in NWSL Semifinals on November 14; Individual Tickets on Sale Tomorrow

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC will play host to the Chicago Red Stars in the semifinal round of the 2021 NWSL playoffs at Providence Park on Sunday, Nov. 14; kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. (Pacific) on CBS Sports Network. Individual tickets for the playoff match will be available for purchase tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. (Pacific) online at www.thornsfc.com or by phone at (888) 983-1783.
Thorns FC (13-6-5, 44pts) earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, winning their second NWSL Shield, while qualifying for the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season. Sunday's match will mark the fourth meeting across all competitions between Portland and Chicago this season. Thorns FC posted a record of 2-1-0 in the three previous matches. Notably, this is the second time the two teams have met in the playoffs. Chicago earned a 1-0 win in the 2019 semifinals at SeatGeek Stadium.
The winner of the Nov. 14 playoff game will advance to the 2021 NWSL Championship presented by Budweiser at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 9 a.m. (Pacific) on CBS. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.nwslchampionship.com.
