April 15, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that second round selection Jack Thompson has committed to the hockey club. The announcement comes as the Wolves wrapped up their 2018 Orientation Camp Sunday afternoon.
The Wolves selected the 6'0, 180lb defenceman 30th overall in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. In 36 games with the Clarington Toros last season, Thompson had 17 goals and 21 assists.
"Getting commitment from Jack is another important piece of the high skill and high character type of team we are building," said Sudbury Wolves Vice President & General Manager Rob Papineau. "He is such a smart and strong right shot defender and a great young man. We are thrilled to add him to the pack."
"It is an honour to commit to the Wolves family and organization," said Jack following the Orientation Camp. "I got my first taste of OHL hockey this weekend and I can't wait to get back here in September."
Season Tickets for the 2018-19 Season are on-sale now with special savings until April 30th.
