Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack are excited to announce that they have signed 2021 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection third round 47th overall pick Thomas Chafe to a standard player agreement. The Attack have now received commitment for the 2021-22 season from the top-3 picks from both the 2020 and 2021 OHL Priority Selection.

The native of Ottawa, Ontario is very excited to get started and see what being a member of the Attack organization is all about. "Signing my player agreement with Owen Sound is such an awesome feeling and I want to thank everyone who helped me get here" said Chafe. "I am thrilled to be part of such a fantastic organization."

"This fall I am looking forward to meeting my teammates, becoming a part of the Owen Sound community and playing in front of the best fans in the league!" added Chafe. Chafe played his minor hockey for the Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League. In 2019-20 with the U15 prep team he had 10 goals, and 29 assists in 30 games, while in also adding three goals and two assists in six call-up games. In a pandemic shortened 2020-21 season he played six games with the U18 squad tallying one goal and three assists.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray is very excited to see what his 47th overall pick can bring to the organization. "Thomas will be a tremendous addition to our group" said DeGray. "He is a tremendous skater with very good skill and plays the game at a high pace. He will be a player that can make players around him better."

"I look forward to seeing him in an Attack jersey in September and would like to welcome Thomas and his family to the organization" added DeGray.
