
Thomas Bouffard Selected for the MLS Next All-Star Game

MONTREAL - CF Montréal Academy defender Thomas Bouffard was invited Wednesday to the 2022 MLS NEXT All-Star Game to be played at the National Sports Center in Minnesota, on Wednesday, August 10.
The defender joins a list of 45 rising stars from around the league who will attend this inaugural edition of the MLS NEXT All-Star Game.
Bouffard, 17, played with the Association de Soccer de Saint-Lambert prior to joining the CF Montréal Academy in the winter of 2018. In 2022, he joined the Academy's U23 team which competes in the Première ligue de soccer du Québec (PLSQ). He has featured in a handful of matches thus far.
The 2022 All-Star roster was selected by the MLS NEXT Player Selection Committee, which is made up of key MLS Player Development department personnel, following the conclusion of the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase.
To be eligible, players must have been U-18 (born in 2004 or earlier) and have competed in one of the MLS NEXT national showcase events this season, including MLS NEXT Fest, MLS NEXT Flex, Generation adidas Cup, and MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase.
