Week 9 with the Boise Burn:
The Burn look to improve to 6-2 on the season and a perfect 4-0 at home as they take on their West Division rival Central Valley Coyotes (3-4) on Saturday, May 24 at Qwest Arena. Kick off is 7:00pm. Currently, Boise is second in the division, while Central Valley is third. These two teams met twice in the Burn's inaugural 2007 season and are 1-1 (5/12/07 @ Central Valley, L 79-70 and 7/21/07 @ Boise W 77-41).
Top 16 Coaches Poll:
The Boise Burn climbed a spot in the Week 9 Coaches Top 16 poll. The Burn jumped from No. 7 to No. 6 after their convincing 61-34 road win at Daytona Beach. The defending ArenaCup Champion Tulsa Talons have maintained the No. 1 ranking for nine straight weeks. The National Conference West Division has two teams represented in the Top 16. The Spokane Shock hold on to the No. 2 spot for a seventh straight week, after escaping with a 59-56 victory over Tri-Cities last weekend. The Central Valley Coyotes fell out of the top 16 following their loss to Rio Grande Valley.
