Spokane Shock News Release
May 21, 2008 - Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that DL Rod Wright and WR Anthony Brown have both been traded for future considerations. DB Tremaine Tyler was placed on the injured reserve list.
Wright was traded to the Tri-Cities Fever while Brown was traded to the Amarillo Dusters. Wright appeared in two games with one total tackle this season. Brown also appeared in one game this season and registered one fumble recovery. Last season, Brown played in nine games on both sides of the ball as a WR and a DL - he accounted for 12 total tackles, including ½ sack, with 22 receptions and three touchdowns.
Tyler suffered a hamstring injury in last weekend's victory against the Tri-Cities Fever. By being placed on the injured reserve list, Tyler will miss a minimum of four weeks. So far this season, Tyler has started in three games and tallied 17 tackles with two offensive touchdowns.
The undefeated Shock travel to Austin, Texas this weekend to take on the Wranglers. Larry Weir and Paul Sorenson will call the game live on 101.1 FM beginning at 4:30 PM PST. The Shock will return home on May 31st as they host the Stockton Lightning. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
