
Third period comeback downs Wildcats

The Wildcats got the game's first goal on the power play at 3:23, Matt Brown tallied with Gormley and Barberio assisting. Shawinigan tied the score at 6:11 on Larocque-Marcoux marker. Randy Cameron redirected Gormley's shot from the blueline to put the Cats ahead 2-1 at 11:15, Mark Barberio also drew an assist.
Alex Saulnier with his second of the second gave Moncton a 3-1 lead with the Wildcats second powerplay goal of the period at 19:16, David Savard and Ted Stephens set up the play.
The Cataractes got the only goal of the middle period. With a scramble in front of the Wildcats net, Charles-Olivier Roussel scored on the powerplay, Claffey and Vandall got the assists. That set the stage for the third period.
Shawinigan tied the game at 11:57 of the third when Dave Labrecque scored. The game winning goal came with the Cataractes on the powerplay. Maxime Legault scored at 19:38.
Both teams were 2 for 5 on the powerplay, the Cataractes outshot Moncton 46-25.
The Wildcats will play the Victoriaville Tigres tomorrow afternoon at 5 Atlantic time. Follow the action on News 91.9 and on the Telus webcast.
