
Thinel's Hat Trick Power Jacks to 7-5 Win

(Odessa, TX) - Sebastien Thinel's hat trick powered the Odessa Jackalopes to a 7-5 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at the Ector County Coliseum on Saturday night. The 3,689 in attendance to see the win was the largest crowd of the season for Odessa.
Odessa took a 3-0 lead in the first period on Thinel's first goal, and a pair of goals from Collin Circelli. Rio Grande Valley came back with three goals of their own before Kory Karlander broke the tie at 17:20 of the second period to give Odessa a 4-3 lead entering the third.
Thinel scored the first goal of the third period on the power play at 1:02 of the second period to make it 5-3. Both teams traded goals back and forth, before Thinel added the hat trick marker at 14:26 of the third on a Brian Swiniarski assist.
The Jackalopes return to Corpus Christi on Tuesday, just four days after the IceRays snapped their 11-game win streak at the American Bank Center. Game time is set for 7:05 PM and it can be heard on 97 Gold or online on the CHL Network.
