LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look for a 2-0 weekend tonight when they host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the LEC. Tonight the Bucks will wear their annual holiday jersey's when they host Corpus Christi. After the game the jersey's will be auctioned off, with Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski serving as the auctioneer. The Bucks enter tonight's game with the Ice Rays leading the Southeast Division by four points over Texas, and trailing Odessa by three points for the top spot in the Conference.
Last night the Bucks scored two third period goals to beat Rio Grande Valley 5-4, in front of their biggest crowd of the season (6,320). Adam Rivet tied the game just 1:48 into the third, and Jeff Bes picked up the game-winner with 11:04 left in the game. Bes leads the CHL in scoring with 42 points (10-32=40), while Darryl Smith leads all league rookies with 35 points (18-17=35).
After tonight the Bucks, who have earned points in 13 of their last 15 games, will start a four-game road trip Monday in Rio Grande Valley, before heading to Colorado to play a three-in-three with the Eagles and Rage next weekend.
The Ice Rays come into tonight earning points in four of their last five games, going 3-1-1 in that stretch.
Corpus ended Odessa's 11 game winning streak last night, with a 2-1 win on home ice. Justin Quenneville notched the game-winner against the 'Jacks. Quenneville (8-22=30) and Ryan Bennett (15-15=30) each have 30 points to lead the Ice Rays.

*Open Skating At LEC Next Week*
The Laredo Entertainment Center will host three days of open community skating during the holiday's. "Winter Wonderland" will be open to the public on Monday December 22 from 12pm-6pm, Monday December 29, and Tuesday December 30 from 1-7pm.
Everyone is welcome, and the cost is $5 an hour, which includes skate rental. The LEC will open some Concession areas during the skating.
