The Sun is out at The Coop
April 13, 2007 - International League (IL1)
Columbus Clippers News Release
It's the home opener at The Coop and the SUN IS OUT!
We are celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of The Coop this year. What a GREAT name for al ball park's birthday! So here is my first fun fact of the season about The Coop...
When the stadium opened in 1932, as Red Bird Stadium, it was a "can't miss" ticket in Columbus. So much so, two babies were born in the stadium that first day!
The gates open at 6 PM with the Party-at-the Park, featuring the music of Arnett Howard, in Right-field Picnic Pavilion. Special Menu for Party-at-the Park is City Barbecue Mini-Pulled Pork Sandwiches are $1.00 each, while they last.
We are giving away Magnet Schedule. And after the game we have my favorite...FIREWORKS!
There are still good seats still available. Hope to see you tonight.
