Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is excited to announce a partnership with The Strong National Museum of Play, pairing one of the USL's oldest professional clubs with one of the country's largest history museums.
"We are excited to enter this partnership with The Strong, as their mission to promote the many benefits of play to all ages is a perfect match for the Riverhounds' goal of bringing championship-level soccer and entertainment to our fans in a family-friendly setting," said Zack Kaminski, Riverhounds Manager of Business Development. "This pairing will help raise the awareness of our respective brands across Western Pennsylvania and Western New York, and it will grow the number of fans of both The Strong and the Riverhounds."
The partnership with the Hounds will be a comprehensive one, with signage visible at both Highmark Stadium and the AHN Montour Health + Sports Medicine Center, television commercials, ticket giveaways and a presence on both the Hounds' website and mobile app. Most prominently, The Strong will be the official sponsor of the Riverhounds Pups Club, our program for fans 12-years-old and younger that includes ticket deals, special game day experiences, Pups Club exclusive merchandise and more.
"Play is so important for people of all ages, and we're pleased to partner with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC to bring that message - and share more about The Strong - with their dedicated fans," said Sara Poe, vice president for marketing and communications at The Strong. "The Pittsburgh market is important to the museum, and we're vested in being a visible presence in the community and supporting groups like the Riverhounds Pups Club."
The Strong, located in downtown Rochester, N.Y., is home to the world's largest and most comprehensive collection of historical materials related to play and serves families with highly interactive exhibits and programs. The Strong explores play to encourage, learning, creativity, and discovery. The museum is also home to the National Toy Hall of Fame and World Video Game Hall of Fame. This summer, the museum is opening a major, 90,000-square-foot expansion.
