The X's just couldn't seem to stop the Capitales bats on the night giving up ten runs in the ball game on twelve hits. Quebec scored three runs in the second and seven big runs in the sixth inning.

Sioux City did however score the first run of the game on an RBI single by Rene Tosoni that scored Matty Johnson from third. They scored again in the second, Noah Perio Jr led off the inning with a single, advanced to second on an error by the pitcher, moved to third on a putout, and then scored the second run of the game on a wild pitch. Quebec 3, Sioux City 2 after three innings of play.

Explorers put two runs on the board in the seventh to cut the lead to five. X's second baseman Ryan Court struck out to start the inning, Tim Colwell then walked. Sioux City catcher Matt Koch singled to advance Colwell to third, and third baseman Dillon Usiak walked to make the bases loaded with only one out in the inning. Michael Lang hit a two-run, two-out single to make it five runs in the game for Sioux City.

X's went on to score two more in the bottom of the ninth on a fielders choice by Matty Johnson and sac-fly RBI from Michael Lang. The late comeback by the Explorers wasn't enough to get the win unfortunately with the final score being, Quebec 10, Sioux City 7. The X's finished with 7 runs on nine hits and an error with six left on base.

Winning pitcher was Capitales right-hander Ismel Jimenez who went six innings, allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out eight batters on the game.
