'Cats and 'Bones Rained Out, Play Doubleheader Sunday
May 30, 2015 - American Association (AA)
Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
Saturday's game between the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Kansas City T-Bones has been postponed due to persistent rain in the Northwest Indiana area.
The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 2:10 p.m. Sunday consisting of two seven-inning games.
Tickets to Sunday's game are good for both games of the doubleheader, and anyone with a ticket to Saturday's game may redeem his or her ticket at the box office for any other game for the rest of the season.
Sunday will be Bark in the Park at the U.S. Steel Yard, so kids and dogs can run the bases during the 30-minute break between the two contests.
The first 1,000 kids 14-and-under will receive a free RailCats kids t-shirt upon entry, and the 'Cats will host pre-game catch on the field, weather permitting.
RHP Charle Rosario will go game one for Gary and LHP Andy Roberts will go game two. The T-Bones expect to start RHP Joe Van Meter in game one and LHP Blake Holovach on the back end.
