Spokane Shock News Release

The Spokane Shock announced today that OL Rico Ochoa, 6-2 340, has re-signed with the team for the 2008 season. Ochoa is the fifth member of the 2007 Western Division Champion Shock to re-sign with the team and the first from the 2006 ArenaCup Championship team.

"Rico is one of the best linemen in this league - bar none," Head Coach Shackleford said. "He has made a commitment in the off-season to get in even better shape and so we are excited to have his experience and ability back."

Last season, Ochoa was named to the All-af2 American Conference 2nd Team for the first time in his five-year af2 career. Ochoa started all 17 games in 2007 and anchored an offensive line that allowed only 21 sacks.

"Spokane is like a second home for me," Ochoa said. "And the Shock is like family for me. There really isn't a better place to play in the af2 then Spokane so I'm happy to be back with the Shock."

Ochoa is the 18th member of Shackleford's 2008 roster. Season tickets for the 2008 season are available now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
