"The Potato Man" Returns To Bowman Field

The Williamsport Crosscutters have unveiled their slate of promotions for the club's 38-game home schedule. The 2007 season opens on Tuesday, June 19 at 7:05pm as the Cutters host their SawBuck Series rival State College Spikes. The Phillie Phanatic is scheduled to entertain on Opening Night. Again this season, fans attending Cutters games can expect a mix of new and unique promotions along with the return of many fan favorites as Williamsport celebrates their inaugural season as a Philadelphia Phillies affiliate.
One of the highlights of the season will be August 18 when the Crosscutters celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The Great Potato Caper when Dave Bresnahan used a potato as a trick-play while playing for the Williamsport Bills in 1987. The play garnered national notoriety. Bresnahan will be on hand as the Cutters honor him with his very own bobblehead that evening followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Fans will be treated to fireworks after every Saturday night home game, while giveaways will again be a large part of the calendar. Scheduled giveaways include;

The Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest on July 29 featuring free displays and interactive games for the whole family.
