Brooklyn Cyclones News Release

GREAT SEATS, GREAT GAMES: The Cyclones' 2007 Promotional Schedule is the team's best ever, featuring the Brooklyn Legends Bobblehead Series, the return of Don Newcombe, a visit from Lee Mazzilli, Friday Night Fireworks, Sunday Kids Days, and much more!

Get your tickets now, by calling 718-507-TIXX, visiting KeySpan Park or Shea Stadium.

NATIONAL ANTHEM AUDITIONS: The Cyclones will be holding auditions for National Anthem singers on Wednesday, June 6th at 5PM at the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn. Performers will be asked to sing a capella for the chance to sing the Star Spangled Banner before a Cyclones game this summer!

The Cyclones average approximately 8,000 fans per night, and garner local and national exposure, making this a terrific opportunity for singers to not only entertain huge hometown crowds, but also be "discovered" in the process.

In one success story, fifth grader Dominique Krol was chosen to sing the anthem in 2006. When she did, she impressed the right set of ears, and was soon signed to the Metropolitan Opera's Children's Chorus.

To audition for a 2007 game, simply show up at the Kings Plaza Mall at 5PM on Wednesday, June 6th, and head to the lower-level Avenue U entrance.

CYCLONES CAMPS: If you're looking for the perfect gift for the baseball fan in your life, the Cyclones have got the answer. Let them play on the field at KeySpan Park, and learn from the pros with one of the Cyclones' unique instructional clinics and camps!

The team is offering instructional clinics for Ladies and Men this summer, as well as the always-popular four-day Kids Camp. By signing up now, you can ensure an unforgettable baseball experience with the Brooklyn Cyclones! And don't forget...in addition to the memories and experiences, each camp and clinic includes tickets to a Cyclones game this summer!

Kids Camp will be in session this year from July 18th to 21st, and will feature instruction on the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, and fielding -- with a focus on fun! Kids will learn from Cyclones players and coaches, and get to practice and perform on what Baseball America has called the Best Short-Season Ballpark in the country.

So she asked for a "diamond" this year? Well, give her the one at KeySpan Park! The Ladies Clinic is another returning favorite, as the Cyclones introduce the game and its finer points to female fans. Is there a lady in your life who you think wants to know more about the game you love? Or one who knows she has a better arm than you and wants a chance to prove it? The Ladies Clinic has garnered city-wide attention, introduced the game to some new fanatics, and helped some ladies win their league's championship! Join in on the action, or give a special gift to the lady in your life. This year's clinic will take place on July 29th, with tickets included for that night's game.

This year, for the first time, the team will also be holding a one-day Men's Camp, with all the same benefits. Learn from, and play with, the pros, and take your hacks at that high fence in left field! The Men's Camp is a chance for some to get a small piece of their dreams, or to relive the glory days of the past...and, of course, to have some fun! Those participating on August 18th will even get an official camp jersey and cap, along with tickets to that night's game.

CYCLONES GOLF OUTING: Please join us for the 1st Annual Brooklyn Baseball Charity Golf Outing at Dyker Beach Golf Course on Monday, July 23rd, 2007. The day begins with brunch, followed by a 1pm shotgun start and concludes with dinner, and a special guest appearance from former Brooklyn Dodger, Don Newcombe. There will be a silent auction during dinner as well as exciting raffle items. All participants will also receive a special gift package.

Since the team's inception, the Brooklyn Cyclones have been involved with numerous outreach programs to help better the Brooklyn Community. All proceeds from this event will go to the NYPL Charitable Foundation and the Knights of Columbus - Archbishop John Hughes Council #481 - and will help support a number of needy recipients throughout Brooklyn.

TAKE YOUR BASE 2007: The American Cancer Society and the Brooklyn Cyclones present the 3rd Annual Take Your Base walk, a community and family event designed to raise awareness about, and highlight the importance of, screening and early detection of cancer.

Join the American Cancer Society and the 2007 Cyclones on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the famous Riegelman Boardwalk in Coney Island in the fight against cancer. Make it a family affair!

Prior to the walk, participants will have the chance to sign the "Book of Heroes," dedicated to friends and loved one's who have battled cancer, and enjoy the opportunity to get autographs from the 2007 Cyclones team.
