POINTS, POINTS, POINTS... The Fire put up the second most points in team history last Saturday with a 78-42 victory over Macon. The Fire scored 42 points in the second half, 34 in the fourth quarter, and forced five six turnovers on defense. Fire QB Matt Sauk set a team record with nine touchdown passes, and kicker Marc Samuel broke the team record for extra points in a game with nine. DS Justin Thomas, af2 ADT Defensive Player of the Week, had seven tackles and two interceptions.
ROAD TRIP... The Fire will begin a three game road swing this Saturday. The Fire will travel to Albany this Saturday to take on the Conquest. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and you can here all of the action on 1080-AM WKJK with Paul Wilman. The Fire will then travel to Wilkes-Barre on May 1 and Memphis May 8 before returning home on May 15.
BOBBLEHEADS... The May 15 home game against the Albany Conquest will be Terry Meiners bobblehead night. The first 1,500 fans through the door will receive a Terry Meiners bobblehead. That game will also benefit the Crusade for Children. There will be an antique fire truck show in the parking lot before the game.

DOUBLEHEADER... This week's coverage of the AFL on NBC will feature two games. The first game will start at Noon as Dallas (6-4) visits the Orlando Predators (5-5). Former Fire DS Arkee Thompson is currently on the roster for the Predators, who are fighting for a playoff spot. The second game will feature the Indiana Firebirds (6-5) hosting the Arizona Rattlers (6-5). The Firebirds come into the game with a six game winning streak and their eyes on the playoffs. You can catch all of the action on WAVE-3 starting at noon.
