JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â The Chicken is coming, the Chicken is coming! The Jacksonville Suns Baseball Club will welcome the Famous San Diego Chicken to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville for an entire four-game homestand. The Suns return home from a short road trip to host the Tennessee Smokies from Saturday, May 31 through Tuesday, June 3. The Famous Chicken will be performing at all four games.
The San Diego Chicken has been entertaining crowds at sporting events for years and is a perennial favorite in Jacksonville. This year marks his first appearance at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
The Famous Chicken's appearance is sponsored by Beazer Homes, Coca-Cola, Powerade, Dasani, Rock 105, Rooster Country 107, CBS 47 and Comcast.
Tickets for the Suns entire weekend series against Tennessee are currently available by calling the Suns ticket office at 358-2846 or by ordering online at www.jaxsuns.com. All four games of the series will begin at 7:05 p.m.
