Wednesday: Modesto A's vs. Bakersfield Blaze- Gates Open at 6:00 p.m. and the game begins at 7:05 p.m. All fans who bring an aluminum can or plastic bottle to the Modesto A's box office will be given one (1) free general admission ticket compliments of the California Department of Conservation who remind you that "it pays to recycle."
First Fireworks in the Valley!
On Thursday night the tradition of Independence Celebration Fireworks continues at John Thurman Field. The Modesto A's will have a tremendous Fireworks display following the game against the Bakersfield Blaze. The Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and the game begins at 6:05 p.m. Make your way to John Thurman Field early on Thursday and set up a tail gate barbecue because the parking lots will fill up fast. This game is sure to be a sell out so get your tickets now by calling 572-HITS. Limited seating is still available, but selling fast.
Red White and True Celebration
On Friday, July 4th the 2003 Red White and True Celebration will be a chance to catch great music, food, entertainment and of course.............Fireworks! With music from great bands like Virgil and Flying Blind, an interactive kids zone, and a fireworks show that will knock your socks off, the 2003 Red White and True Celebration has it all, and at a great price. Modesto A's Add Perry to Roster
Outfielder/Designated hitter Jason Perry has been added to the Modesto A's roster. Perry was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend. He was the player to be named later in an earlier trade that sent Oakland Athletics minor-leaguer John-Ford Griffin to Toronto.
