Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
With their third round selection (23rd overall), Saskatchewan Roughrider head coach Danny Barrett selected defensive back Walter Spencer-Robinson. The Indianapolis product started 11 games in his senior season, picking up 106 defensive tackles, two quarterback sacks, and one interception.
In the fourth round (31st overall), the Riders grabbed Michigan State defensive end Luc Mullinder. The 23-year old dressed in six games in his final season and recorded three defensive tackles.
The Roughriders followed that pick by taking Ryan Strong with the (32nd overall) selection. The offensive lineman from Wayne State started 11 games at right guard in his final season. Strong was named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team and the GLIAC All-Academic team in his senior year.
For their final selection (41st overall), Saskatchewan picked University of Regina Ram linebacker Craig Zimmer. Zimmer started nine games at linebacker last season and recorded 73 defensive tackles, four quarterback sacks, and one interception.
