Thanksgiving Seats Going Quickly

Waterloo, Iowa - A large crowd is expected once again next Thursday for the Waterloo Black Hawks' traditional 7:05 p.m. Thanksgiving game November 22nd versus the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

A large number of tickets have already purchased, and several additional large groups are in the midst of finalizing their orders. There are currently fewer than 1,000 seats available, and team officials expect brisk sales this weekend concurrently with Friday and Saturday home games at Young Arena against the Tri-City Storm and Lincoln Stars.

"Some sections are completely filled already, while others have quite a bit of flexibility," explained Black Hawks Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joe Greene. "For so many people, coming out with family after a bountiful dinner is part of the tradition of this holiday. As a result, a lot of seats have been purchased beforehand in some of our more popular sections.''

Adult rate tickets purchased at least a day in advance for this premium game range from $13.89 to $21.50 and are $1 more on game day. However families ordering group tickets in a block of 10 or more will receive rates of $10-$17 per seat by calling the Domino's Black Hawks Box Office at (319) 291-7680 or visiting the team's offices at Young Arena.

Waterloo's annual Thanksgiving game has long featured a teddy bear toss after the Black Hawks' first goal, presented by K98.5 FM. Bears and other plush toys collected during the Teddy Bear Toss will be donated to Toys for Tots and similar charitable efforts. Fans planning to participate are reminded to bring a NEW plus toy, still including its store tags, if possible. A limited number of teddy bears will also be available from the Express Employment Professionals Fan Service table for a $2 donation to Toys for Tots.

Good seats still remain for games this Friday and Saturday. Both feature the Black Hawks' Family 4 Pack, including four tickets, four concession vouchers, and four chuck-a-pucks for $48. The first 500 kids aged 2-12 in attendance for the matchup with the Tri-City Storm will receive a free youth jersey. Saturday, fans aged 21 and over can enjoy $2 Coors Light.
