Allen Americans News Release

December 9th, 2010- ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans have announced that goaltender Adrien LeMay has been recalled by the Texas Stars of the AHL. After attending training camp with Texas, LeMay was called up by the club in mid-November, but did not see any action before being returned to Allen. Texas made the move to bring in LeMay after goaltender Richard Bachman was called up by the Dallas Stars on an emergency basis due to injury concerns with Kari Lehtonen. On Sunday, LeMay skated in a practice session with the Dallas Stars at their facility in Frisco, Texas. LeMay has appeared in 11 games for the Americans this season, going 8-1-1 with a 2.99 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. LeMay has not lost in regulation since October 30th. The Moncton, New Brunswick native's 8 wins are the most among rookie goaltenders in the CHL for 2010-11. With the injury to netminder Chris Whitley, LeMay was expected to get a majority of starts in goal for the Americans. LeMay will join Texas today in time for it's game Friday night in Grand Rapids.
