Bloomington PrairieThunder News Release
The Bloomington PrairieThunder (10-6-1) return home and play Friday and Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum as the team begins to play eleven of their next thirteen between now and January 7thon home ice.
Head Coach Jason Christie has announced that forwardGarrett Klotzhas been assigned to the PrairieThunder from the Philadelphia Flyers organization. Klotz, 22, is from Regina, Saskatchewan and has 119 American Hockey League games under his belt, having played for the AHL Philadelphia and now Adirondack (Glens Falls, New York) Phantoms. The 6'-5", 235 lbs, left wing was the Flyers third round draft, 66th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. This season he began the year in Adirondack where he appeared in ten games and most recently for the Greenville (South Carolina) Road Warriors in the ECHL where he played in three games. Garrett played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League for Red Deer (2005-06) and Saskatoon (2006-07 & 2007-08).
The team has also made two injured reserve moves today. Defenseman Dustin DeGagne has been transferred to the 30 day I.R. with his lower body injury suffered last Saturday in Evansville and forward Craig Macdonald has been placed on the 10 day I.R. with a lower body injury also suffered in the Evansville game. New defenseman Pierre-Olivier Beaulieu and David Brown will make their PrairieThunder debut on Friday night.

at 7pm for only $14. Proceeds benefit Illinois Special Olympics.

Tickets are on sale at the Coliseum Box Office Monday through Friday from 11am to 5:30pm and on weekends when there are events in the Coliseum.
