Tulsa 66ers News Release

TULSA, Okla., December 8, 2013 - Andre Roberson scored 25 points with 12 rebounds but the Tulsa 66ers fell to the Texas Legends, 103-98, on Sunday afternoon at the SpiritBank Event Center.

Roberson, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, shot 12-for-15 from the field and collected four rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. In his three games with Tulsa this week, the Thunder forward averaged 17.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.3 steals and 1.0 blocks while shooting 23-for-41 (.561) from the field.

Mario Little scored 18 points while shooting 10-for-10 from the foul line. Little has shot a perfect 24-for-24 from the free throw stripe this season.

Grant Jerrett totaled 11 points and eight boards while Ben Uzoh and Chase Tapley scored 12 and 11 points, respectively. Tulsa has had five or more players score in double digits in each of its seven games thus far.

After trailing 34-33 with just over six minutes to play in the second quarter, Tulsa (1-6) produced a 20-9 run to take a 54-40 lead to halftime. The 66ers shot 8-for-11 from the field and outrebounded the Legends 10-1 during the final six minutes of the half.

"In the second quarter we had a lot of commitment to defensive tasks," said Tulsa Head Coach Darko Rajakovic. "We were being aggressive on the ball, having really good pick-and-roll coverages and had good communication on the defensive end. On offense, we executed and played aggressive to create open layups and shots. That's the way we need to continue to play moving forward."

Texas (5-2) chipped away at Tulsa's lead by outscoring the 66ers 27-16 in the third quarter. The Legends went on to take the lead with a made free throw by Chris Douglas-Roberts to make it 81-80 with seven and a half minutes to play.

The Legends built a 95-88 lead before Roberson scored four-straight 66ers points to cut Texas' lead to three with 55 seconds remaining. The Legends held off Tulsa's comeback efforts by going 8-for-8 from the foul line in the final 40 seconds of the game.

Texas was led by Devin Ebanks with 26 points and seven rebounds.

Tulsa is back in action with a three-game road trip next week, facing the Canton Charge on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14.
