
Temple Signs With Spurs For Remainder Of Season

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that guard Garrett Temple (6-5, 180, LSU) has signed with the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of the season.
Since earning his third GATORADE Call-Up and signing his first 10-day contract with the Spurs, Temple has scored 11 points in 33 minutes over the course of two games. In last night's win over Golden State, Temple scored nine points while picking up an assist and a steal in 20 minutes of action.
Including one 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings and two with the Houston Rockets, Temple is averaging 4.2 points and 1.1 rebounds and 10.9 minutes in 16 games.
An All-NBA Development League Showcase honorable mention selection, Temple averaged 14.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 34.9 minutes over the course of 30 games and starts for the Vipers. He shot 42.7% from the field, 37.2% from behind the arc and 80.4% from the free throw line.
Temple is one of eight Vipers alumni in the NBA at this point, joining Kenny Hasbrouck (Miami Heat), Jawad Williams (Cleveland Cavaliers), C.J. Watson (Golden State Warriors), Aaron Brooks (Rockets), Shannon Brown (Los Angeles Lakers), Joey Dorsey (Kings) and Steve Novak (Los Angeles Clippers).
