Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League along with local State Farm agents Gloria LeDroit, Matt Pawloski, Cory Kruse and Kim Snavely will hold a Teddy Bear Toss during Friday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Green Bay Gamblers at the FirsTier Event Center.
Storm fans are asked to bring a new teddy bear to Friday's game to participate in the Teddy Bear Toss. Bears are available for $2 at the participating agents' offices. Also, by showing your bear to the parking attendant fans will be allowed to park for free Friday evening. Some bears will also be distributed at the game courtesy of the local State Farm agents.
The Teddy Bear Toss will take place when the Storm scores their first goal against the Gamblers. At that point fans are asked to throw their bears on the ice. All bears collected will be given to the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department for children throughout the Kearney area.
Additional events Friday will include an appearance by the Good Neigh Bear and a safety car that will all be located on the concourse.
