Center Tim Hall garners Offensive Player of the Week honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Junior Blue Jackets center Tim Hall earned United States Hockey League Offensive Player of the Week, and defenseman Chris Reed and goaltender Brandon Czarnecki were honorable mention for Defensive Player of the Week and Goalie of the Week, the USHL announced late Monday.

Hall, scored five goals in three games against the Chicago Steel and Green Bay Gamblers, including the franchises first ever hat trick. He had 2-1-3 on Wednesday night versus Chicago and then had three goals against Green Bay on Sunday, including the game winner.

Reed, registered 0-2-2, with both assists coming against Chicago. He was a plus-3 in that game and had nine shots on goal over the three-game week. This was Reed's second time he's been recognized by the league, as he was also honorable mention Defensive Player of Week Jan. 2, for the week of Dec. 24-31.

Czarnecki, was 2-0-1 for the week, winning a shootout versus the Gamblers as well as a 5-4 triumph in regulation. The wins were the first of his career and gave Ohio its first weekend sweep of the season. He made 97 saves in the three games in 190 minutes in net.

The Junior Blue Jackets face the Steel on Friday in Chicago at 8 p.m. (ET), before returning home to play the Waterloo Black Hawks Sunday and Monday. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday.
