
Tavares Wins League's Top Weekly Honor

Buffalo, New York. Buffalo Bandit forward John Tavares was named the National Lacrosse League's Overall Player of the Week. Tavares led the Bandits to a 19-16 victory at Columbus on Saturday night. Tavares netted five goals and added six assists in route to an 11-point performance.
In the game Tavares (Bandits all-time leading scorer) surpassed a career milestone with his 400th career goal. With two more points this weekend, Tavares will reach a career plateau with 800 points.
The Bandits play the Toronto Rock at home this Saturday night at 7:00pm at the HSBC Arena.
