College Park Skyhawks News Release

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - The College Park Skyhawks announced today that Tas Melas and Trey Kerby of the "No Dunks" podcast on The Athletic will be featured throughout the team's March 8th broadcast of their highly-anticipated matchup against the G League Ignite.

Melas and Kerby will join Carl Dukes of SportsRadio 92-9 The Game's Dukes & Bell and Atlanta Hawks Vice President of Community Impact and Basketball Programs Jon Babul to provide game commentary, unique content, and interviews during the first game of the series on Peachtree TV locally and ESPN+ nationwide.

The "No Dunks" podcast is a daily, hourlong show that can be found on all podcast platforms, The Athletic, and YouTube. Prior to "No Dunks", Melas and Kerby were co-hosts of "The Starters" on NBATV for six years. Along with current No Dunks co-host, Phil "J.E. Skeets" Elder, and current No Dunks producer, Jason Doyle, the group's journey started back in 2006 with "The Basketball Jones" podcast in Toronto, Canada.

"We can't wait to be in Gateway Center Arena on Wednesday night," said Melas. "The environment should be electric and we hope to show that."

"We've had this game circled on our calendar for months," said Kerby. "It's awesome to be a part of a special night and we're looking forward to bringing a No Dunks vibe to the proceedings."

NBA G League Ignite features Atlanta-area product Scoot Henderson, who attended Kell High School before joining G League Ignite prior to the 2021-22 season. Henderson is projected to be a top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Among those joining him are London Johnson, a product of Norcross High School who will spend two seasons with the Henderson, Nev. based Ignite, and former Hawks guard John Jenkins III, who was drafted by the Hawks in 2012 with the 23rd pick.

"Tas and Trey are two of the most creative and passionate basketball voices in sports media today. The opportunity to bring something new and fun to our fans is something we are beyond excited about," said Atlanta Hawks Vice President of NBA G League and 2K League Operations Janice Koon. "We are ecstatic to work with them and to see what they bring to a very big game on our schedule."

The two-game series will be the first regular season meeting between the two teams. During the 2021-22 season, the Skyhawks hosted G League Ignite for a game as part of the NBA G League Ignite Tour on Jan. 21, 2022, and defeated the newly formed team, 129-119.

To guarantee your ticket for the two games against G League Ignite, visit cpskyhawks.com/tickets. The "No Dunks" podcast also encourages their fans who cannot attend to donate two tickets for children to a Skyhawks home game via skyhawksgroups.com/nodunks. All Skyhawks home games are broadcast exclusively on Peachtree TV locally, and fans tuning in remotely can watch with ESPN+.
