
Tarantulas announce Spider\'s Web Performance Team tryouts

[TOPEKA, KS.]-- The Topeka Tarantulas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the team will host tryouts for the "Spider's Web" Performance Team. The team will be broken up into four groups: The "Itzy Bitzy Spiders", "Spider Bites", "Venom", and "Toxic". Tryouts for the four groups will take place on Saturday, January 8th at the Kuehne Family YMCA at 1936 North Tyler.
"Spider Bites" (ages 4-7) and "Itzy Bitzy Spiders" (ages 8-12) Information
· Parents Informational Meeting will take place at 4 pm
· Children in these groups do not have to tryout. It is strictly on a sign-up basis.
· There will be a program fee of $75 due at sign-ups.
· Practices will begin on Saturday, January 15th. Location and times will be announced at the meeting.
"Venom" (fans ages 13-17) and "Toxic" (women ages 18 and up) Information
· Must have a background in cheerleading and/or dance
· This will be a closed audition
· There will be a program fee of $75 due at first practice.
· Practices will begin on Sunday, January 9th. Location and times will be announced at the auditions.
· Audition Schedule is as follows:
o 4:30 pm - arrive, receive audition number, complete application packet, and warm-up (on your own)
o 5:00 pm - introductions and briefing
o 5:15 pm - learn audition material
o 5:45 pm - groups assigned/auditions begin
