
Tarantulas, 1490 AM KTOP announce radio partnership for 2004-05

[TOPEKA, K.S.] - The Topeka Tarantulas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the club has formed a radio partnership with 1490 AM KTOP, a Cumulus Broadcasting owned station, for the 2004-2005 season.
The partnership, which will extend for the duration of the 2004-2005 season, will see all 60 of the Tarantulas games, as well as the playoffs, broadcast on 1490 AM KTOP.
Handling the play-by-play duties for the Tarantulas this season will be Bob Rennison, who is the Tarantulas Director of Broadcasting. Rennison broadcasted the 1999-2000 Topeka Scarecrow's regular season and the 2001 playoffs. After leaving the Scarecrows, Rennison was the Sports Director of KCXL in Liberty, Missouri where he was the play-by-play broadcaster for the Kansas City Knights basketball team, Avila University football and basketball and high school football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and soccer.
In addition to the play-by-play, the game broadcasts will feature a pre-game and post-game show. The pre-game show will air 20 minutes prior to face-off and the post-game show will feature an on-ice interview following home games.
