LAST NIGHT: After a brief Tampa lead in the 2nd, Fort Myers scored seven-straight runs and went on to even the series with an 8-5 win on Wednesday evening...RHP Adonis Rosa (L, 7-2) allowed a season-high 7ER in 3.0IP (9H, 2BB, 3K, 2HR)...Rashad Crawford (3-for-4, 3B, 2B, 2RBI) hit a 2-run triple in the 2nd and finished a HR shy of the cycle...Hoy Jun Park (3-for-4, HR, 2RBI, 3R) clubbed a 2-run HR in the 4th (his 6th)...Ben Ruta (1-for-3, BB, RBI) added an RBI groundout in the 6th...Brandon Wagner (2-for-5), and Donny Sands (2-for-4, R) also had multi-hit games...LHP Justin Kamplain held the Miracle scoreless in 2.2IP (1H, 1BB, 4K)...LHP Trevor Lane retired 4-of-5 batters faced (1.1IP, 1H, 1ER, 0BB, 1K, 1HR)...RHP Matt Wivinis stranded a walk in 2.0 scoreless frames (0H, 0R, 2K).

LET'S GO STREAKING: Isiah Gilliam (1-for-5) singled in the 2nd on Wednesday, extending his hitting streak to 19 games. In that span, the 21-year-old is batting .350 (28-for-80) with 3HR and 11RBI. Gilliam's streak is the longest active hitting streak in the Florida State League.

DONNY'S RETURN: Catcher Donny Sands made his 2018 debut on Thursday after missing all of the 1st-Half with a broken forearm. The 22-year-old is batting .545 (12-for-22) with 12 singles in his first five games of the season.

VS. FORT MYERS: Tonight will be the 12th and final game scheduled between the Tampa Tarpons and Fort Myers Miracle. Tampa currently leads the season-series, 6-5, including 3-2 at GMS Field and 3-3 at Hammond Stadium. Isiah Gilliam has played in all 11 games and is batting .447 (21-for-47) with 9R, 3 doubles, 1HR, 7RBI and 2BB. As a team, the Tarpons are batting .305 (116-for-380) while the pitching staff owns a 3.09 ERA (32ER/93.1IP) when facing the Miracle.

HOLDER'S HITTING: Since returning to action on Friday, Kyle Holder is batting .412 (7-for-17) with 1 double, 2HR, 11RBI and 3BB. The 24-year-old began the season on the disabled list with a back injury.

STRIKEOUT KINGS: Adonis Rosa (3K), Justin Kamplain (4K) Trevor Lane (1K) and Matt Wivinis (2K) combined for 10 strikeouts on Wednesday. Tampa pitchers have tallied double-digit strikeouts in 34 games this season, with the Tarpons going 21-13 in such games. Tampa, by far, leads the Florida State League in strikeouts, totaling 736K entering today. That is 77K more than the team ranked second (Clearwater - 659K). Tampa is averaging 9.68 K-per-game and is on pace for 1,356K, which would crush its own FSL single-season strikeout record set last season with 1,215K.

THE REAL DIEHL: Southpaw Phillip Diehl struck out all six batters he faced on Tuesday in a perfect 8th and 9th innings, including big leaguers Jorge Polanco and Miguel Sanó. Diehl as now struck out 13 of the last 14 batters he's faced over his last three outings. The 23-year-old leads the Florida State League in K/9.0IP at 13.72 (63K/41.1IP).

BABY BOMBERS: Kyle Holder and Ben Ruta both homered on Sunday, marking the 16th multi-homer game by Tampa this season. The Tarpons are 11-5 in such games. Tampa currently leads the league with 68 home runs, which is 12 more than second on the list (Bradenton - 56HR).

2ND-HALF BEGINS: Last Thursday marked the beginning of the 2nd-Half of the Florida State League schedule. The Tarpons finished with an even 35-35 record at the half way point, falling 4.0GB of the 1st-Half Champion Daytona Tortugas (37-29). Meanwhile, the early postseason spot in the South Division was captured by the Palm Beach Cardinals (39-25). Tampa will look to win its second-straight 2nd-Half North Division title and return to the playoffs for the third-straight season.

FOR STARTERS: RHP Albert Abreu (3-2, 4.04) will make his 10th start of the season. Last time out, earned the win vs. Jupiter on 6/21 (5.0IP, 4H, 2ER, 1BB, 6K, HR, 90P/57S)...Began the season on the disabled list after undergoing an emergency appendectomy in February.

2017: Began the season with Single-A Charleston, going 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA (14.2IP, 3ER) in three games (two starts) before being promoted to Tampa on 4/23, where he went 1-3 with a 4.19 ERA (34.1IP, 16ER) in nine starts...Missed nearly three months over two stints on the disabeld list with elbow inflammation...made two rehab starts in th GCL, allowing 1ER in 4.1IP...Pitched for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League, going 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA (27.2IP, 8ER) in six starts...was named the AFL "Pitcher of the Week" for the period from 10/16-21.
