LAST NIGHT: The Tarpons scored 10 runs on 15 hits to win the series-opener over the Miracle, 10-3...Tampa has scored 20 runs on 31 hits over its last two games...Kyle Holder (3-for-4, 2B, BB, 5RBI, R, SB) drove in half of Tampa's runs on Tuesday, logging a new career-high with 5RBI...RHP WIll Carter made the start (3.0IP, 4H, 2ER, 4BB, 1K)...RHP Brian Trieglaff (W, 1-0) got the win in relief (2.0IP, 1H, 2BB, 2K)...Diego Castillo (2-for-5, RBI), Isiah Gilliam (2-for-5), Dom Thompson-Williams (2-for-5, 2B, R), Donny Sands (2-for-4, HBP, R) and Ben Ruta (2-for-3, BB, Sac-F, RBI, 2R) also had multi-hit games...Angel Aguilar (1-for-3, 2BB, 3R) reached base and scored three times...RHP Matt Frawley (2.0IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 4K) and RHP Phillip Diehl (2.0IP, 0H, 6K) closed out the game by striking out 10 of the last 15 Fort Myers batters.

HOLDER'S HITTING: Since returning to action on Friday, Kyle Holder is batting .538 (7-for-13) with 1 double, 2HR, 11RBI and 3BB. The 24-year-old began the season on the disabled list with a back injury. Holder has collected multiple RBI in each of his last three games.

LET'S GO STREAKING: Isiah Gilliam (2-for-5) singled in the 1st on Tuesday, extending his hitting streak to 18 games. In that span, the 21-year-old is batting .360 (27-for-75) with 3HR and 11RBI. Gilliam's streak is the longest active hitting streak in the league.

THE REAL DIEHL: Southpaw Phillip Diehl struck out all six batters he faced last night in a perfect 8th and 9th innings, including big leaguers Jorge Polanco and Miguel Sanó. Diehl as now struck out 13 of the last 14 batters he's faced over his last three outings. The 23-year-old lead the Florida State League in K/9.0IP at 13.72 (63K/41.1IP).

DONNY'S RETURN: Catcher Donny Sands made his 2018 debut on Thursday after missing all of the 1st-Half with a broken forearm. The 22-year-old is batting .556 (10-for-18) with 10 singles in his first four games of the season

STRIKEOUT KINGS: Will Carter (1K), Brian Trieglaff (2K) Matt Frawley (4K) and Phillip Diehl (6K) combined for 13 strikeouts on Tuesday. Tampa pitchers have tallied double-digit strikeouts in 33 games this season, with the Tarpons going 21-12 in such games. Tampa, by far, leads the Florida State League in strikeouts, totaling 726K entering today. That is 67K more than the team ranked second (Clearwater - 659K). Tampa is averaging 9.68 K-per-game and is on pace for 1,355K, which would crush its own FSL single-season strikeout record set last season with 1,215K.

BABY BOMBERS: Kyle Holder and Ben Ruta homered on Sunday, marking the 16th multi-homer game by Tampa this season. The Tarpons are 11-5 in such games. Tampa currently leads the league with 67 home runs, which is 11 more than second on the list (Bradenton - 56HR).

VS. FORT MYERS: Tonight will be the 11th of 12 scheduled games between the Tampa Tarpons and Fort Myers Miracle. Tampa currently leads the season-series, 6-4, including 3-1 at GMS Field and 3-3 at Hammond Stadium. Isiah Gilliam has played in all 10 games and is batting .476 (20-for-42) with 9R, 3 doubles, 1HR, 7RBI and 2BB. As a team, the Tarpons are batting .301 (103-for-342) while the pitching staff owns a 2.56 ERA (24ER/84.1IP) when facing the Miracle.

2ND-HALF BEGINS: Thursday marked the beginning of the 2nd-Half of the Florida State League schedule. The Tarpons finished with an even 35-35 record at the half way point, falling 4.0GB of the 1st-Half Champion Daytona Tortugas (37-29). Meanwhile, the early postseason spot in the South Division was captured by the Palm Beach Cardinals (39-25). Tampa will look to win its second-straight 2nd-Half North Division title and return to the playoffs for the third-straight season.

FOR STARTERS: RHP Adonis Rosa (7-1-1, 3.18) will make his ninth start (14th appearance) of the season. Last time out, started and tossed 6.0 shutout innings in a win at Fort Myers 6/20 (2H, 1BB, 6K)...is 4-1 with a 3.07 ERA (41.0IP, 40H, 20R/14ER, 12BB, 38K, 3HR, 3HB) in eight starts...is 3-0 with a 3.38 ERA (21.1IP, 21H, 8ER, 5BB, 18K) as a reliever...named a 2018 FSL Mid-Season All-Star...currently is tied for most wins in the FSL.

2017: Pitched primarily for Single-A Charleston, going 4-3 with two saves and a 3.04 ERA (83.0IP, 77H, 35R/28ER, 14BB, 79K, 8HR) in 21 games (eight starts)...was promoted to Single-A Tampa on 8/8 and won all three starts while posting a 4.32 ERA (16.2IP, 15H, 8ER, 4BB, 16K, 1HR)...also made two spot starts for Triple-A Scranton/WB on 6/17-G2 at Buffalo (W, 6.0IP, 6H, 0R, 0BB, 4K) and 7/18-G2 vs. Norfolk (ND, 6.0IP, 3H, 2ER, 1BB, 3K, 1HR)...overall, was 8-3 with two saves and a 3.06 ERA (111.2IP, 101H, 45R/38ER, 19BB, 102K, 10HR) in 26 games (13 starts)...had a 1.64 ERA (44.0IP, 8ER) in 13 outings as a reliever...also tossed 6.0 scoreless relief innings (4H, 0BB, 7K) in Game 1 of the FSL Semifinal Series at Dunedin...following the season, pitched for Cibao of the Dominican Winter League, going 1-1 with a 1.82 ERA (24.2IP, 14H, 6R/5ER, 8BB, 21K, 1HR) in nine games (three starts).
