
Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Stefan Fournier to Syracuse Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Stefan Fournier to the Syracuse Crunch from the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally, the Crunch have signed forward Daniel Doremus to a professional try-out contract, Crunch general manager Julien BriseBois announced.
Fournier, 24, played in one game with the K-Wings recording one goal this season. He has skated in one game with the Crunch recording two penalty minutes. Fournier previously appeared in 29 contests with the Tucson Roadrunners this season tallying four points (2g, 2a) and 95 penalty minutes.
The Dorval, Montreal native has played in 140 career AHL games with the Crunch, Roadrunners, St. John's IceCaps, Springfield Falcons and Hamilton Bulldogs earning 23 points (11g, 12a) along with 340 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 19 career ECHL games with the K-Wings, Wheeling Nailers and the Brampton Beast, notching one goal and seven points.
Fournier was acquired by Tampa Bay in a trade from Arizona on Feb. 25.
Doremus, 25, skated in 50 games with the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL this season posting a second best 33 assists. His 41 total points (8g, 33a) rank third on the team. During the 2015-16 season, the 6-foot, 200-pound forward appeared in 20 games with the San Jose Barracuda, earning one goal and two assists. He also played in 11 contests with the Allen Americans putting up a goal and two helpers.
The Aspen, Colorado native has skated in 25 career AHL games with the Barracuda and Worcester Sharks. Prior to his professional career, Doremus spent four seasons with the University of Denver from 2011 to 2015 where he tallied 90 points (36g, 54a) in 158 games.
