Lexington Legends News Release
WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - The Lexington Legends are excited to announce a homestand that pays homage to the country that celebrates another birthday in July. Despite not having a game on the Fourth of July, that won't stop the Legends from having a fireworks-extravaganza the night before, among many other promotions. The Legends will welcome the Asheville Tourists to town beginning Saturday, June 30 at 6:35 p.m.
"This upcoming series will be full of red, white and blue. Fans won't have to look far for a fun way to kick off their Fourth of July celebrations in the Bluegrass. On July 3rd, we will be hosting the largest fireworks display in Lexington this year while giving fans the opportunity to take in a baseball game beforehand," said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea.
Saturday, June 30 at 6:35 p.m. vs. Asheville: The Legends will be going pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by LBX. Legends players will be wearing special edition pink and white jerseys that will be up for auction throughout the game. Fans near and far can bid online here for game worn jerseys. Select jerseys will also be available via silent auction. Kendra Scott will also be giving away nine innings of prizes. The Salato Wildlife Education Center will have a display with appearances from a variety of animals in the Toyota Triple Play Zone, courtesy of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Following the final out, the Legends will have fireworks to finish off the night!
