Augusta GreenJackets News Release
North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 7-0 to the Greenville Drive on Friday night.
The Drive got out to an early lead by putting up four runs in the top of the third inning. They did not look back, putting adding one run to their total in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
On the mound for the Drive, Denyi Reyes shut down the GreenJackets lineup. He held Augusta to just three hits over six innings pitched. Juan Florentino would pitch the other three innings, not allowing a hit to the GreenJackets offense.
On the mound for the GreenJackets, Caleb Baragar pitched well out of the bullpen. He went three innings, only giving up three hits and one run. He also struck out four Drive batters.
The GreenJackets will start a four game homestand with the Columbia Fireflies tomorrow. First pitch is set for 6:05 pm at SRP Park.
Tomorrow we will have James Brown and Sharron Jones appreciation night. July 1st will have Hot Cars/ Hot Rods Car & Motor Show. On the 2nd, Mr./Ms. Most American Pageant/Celebration will be held at SRP Park. To wrap up the homestand, will have an Independence Day bash followed by a Fireworks Extravaganza.
