CHANDLER, Ariz. - Tacoma Defiance (2-2-1, 7 points) fell 3-0 to Phoenix Rising FC (5-1-1, 16 points) in triple digit heat, failing to get a ball into the back of the net despite 12 total shots and 8 shots on goal.

Phoenix's first goal came in the 40th minute when Soloman Asante took a pass from Joey Calistri and finished the ball over the tip of Spencer Richey's outstretched glove. Asante secured his brace in the 55th minute when his shot outside the box took a deflection that ended up in the back of the net. The home side found their third and final goal when Tate Schmitt dribbled around multiple defenders in the area and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

Wade Webber's side finishes its road stretch on Wednesday, June 16 against Colorado Switchbacks FC (6:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
