TACOMA, WASH. - After earning a 4-4 draw against Minnesota United FC 2 at Starfire Stadium last Saturday that saw Tacoma win the ensuing shootout for the extra point, Tacoma Defiance (4-1-2, 16 points) travels north to take on Whitecaps FC 2 (4-3-1, 14 points) tonight at Swangard Stadium (6:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV).
The two sides have yet to meet this year, but the teams played to a 1-1-1 record last season. Tacoma currently sits in first place in the Pacific Division through seven matches, with Whitecaps FC 2 sitting in second place through eight matches.
Following tonight's fixture, Tacoma returns home to Starfire Stadium to take on LAFC2 on Friday, May 26 (7:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV).
