BURNABY, B.C. - Tacoma Defiance (4-2-2, 16 points) fell 1-0 to Whitecaps FC 2 (5-3-1, 17 points) Sunday evening at Swangard Stadium. The result drops Tacoma to second place in the Pacific Division as Whitecaps FC 2 moves into first place.
The only goal of the match came from Whitecaps FC 2's Kamron Habibullah, a long-range strike into the top corner of the net in the 57th minute. Tacoma's Andrew Thomas recorded three saves in the contest, all impressive stops to deny Whitecaps FC 2 in front of goal and keep the match close.
Following today's result, Wade Webber's side returns home to take on LAFC2 on Friday, May 26 at Starfire Stadium (7:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV).
