AUSTIN, TEXAS - Tacoma Defiance (8-12-6, 30 points) fell 1-0 at Austin Bold FC (10-7-9, 39 points) at Bold Stadium Wednesday evening.

Austin scored the lone goal of the night courtesy of Owayne Gordon. The Jamaican received a ball from Collin Fernandez at the corner of the 18-yard-box and fired a shot past the outstretched hands of Defiance goalkeeper Christian Herrera in the 62nd minute.

Defiance had its best chance of the night late in the contest, with Alec Díaz finding the back of the net in second-half stoppage time but was called back for offsides.

With the loss, Tacoma remains in seventh place in the Pacific Division standings, two points out of a playoff position with six matches left in the regular season.

Defiance gets back to Pacific Division play against Orange County SC at Cheney Stadium on Saturday, October 9 (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
