
T-Bones to Celebrate History of Moon Exploration

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - On Saturday, July 21, the Kansas City T-Bones will welcome geologist, astronaut and former United States senator Harrison Schmitt to CommunityAmerica ballpark. Mr. Schmitt, the 12th man to walk on the Moon, will be the guest of honor as the T-Bones celebrate Moon Night. He will throw out the first pitch and give a brief press conference at 6:00 p.m.
Moon Night with the T-Bones is a celebration of the 38th anniversary of man first walking on the Moon on July 21, 1969. Along with the appearance of Mr. Schmitt, the T-Bones will be showing video clips of astronauts walking on the Moon while giving away actual acres of land on the Moon as prizes for between-innings contests.
