
Flyers Unable To Score In Extra Innings

Schaumburg, IL- The Flyers (1-1, 21-29) managed to keep the T-Bones (1-1, 19-31) under close watch for nine innings, but the T-Bones broke loose in the top of the tenth, earning their first win of the series in a 3-2 finish.
The Flyers' righty Dan Grybash ran into trouble in the top of the second giving up four hits, which allowed the T-Bones to get on the scoreboard twice, ending the inning with an early 2-0 lead.
T-Bone pitcher Anthony Boughner pitched four perfect innings, until the bottom of the fifth. Pat O'Sullivan reached base off of an error on the T-Bones' third baseman, Neb Brown which allowed him to advance to second. Billy Malone smacked a single to center, scoring O'Sullivan. The Flyers were unable to keep their momentum going, ending the inning still trailing 2-1.
While Grybash five consecutive scoreless innings, giving up just two hits, the Flyers' offense took charge in the seventh. O'Sullivan led off with a single followed by a base hit bunt by Dario Delgado. An error on the T-Bones' first baseman allowed O'Sullivan to advance to third. With one out, Billy Malone hit a sacrifice fly to deep center, allowing O'Sullivan to score for Malone's second RBI of the night. The Flyers headed into the eighth after tying up the game at 2-2.
After scoreless eighth and ninth innings, Flyers' reliever Jim Morrison entered the game in tenth. With two outs and nobody on, T-Bones' Mario Delgado sent a ball over the right field wall for a solo-homerun.
In the bottom of the tenth, Matt Schweitzer came in for the T-Bones and pitched a 1-2-3 inning. The T-Bones took a 3-2 win over the Flyers as Lavon Lewis earned the win; Jim Morrison was given the loss, and Matt Schweitzer earned his first save of the season.
The Flyers will face the T-Bones for game three of the five game series. Flyers' lefty Billy Keppinger will take the mound against T-Bones' pitcher Jonathan Krysa for a 6:20 start at Alexian Field with post game fireworks.
