T-Birds ready to play first game at ShoWare Center

Kent, WA January 1, 2008 - The Seattle Thunderbirds and SMG, ShoWare Center operators, are putting the final touches on the T-Birds new home as they get ready for the first game in the new building.
The T-Birds will take on the Everett Silvertips at 7:05 p.m. on January 3 in the first game at ShoWare Center. A sell out crowd will be on hand for this game.
Those fans with tickets will be able to enter ShoWare Center at 5:30pm, which is a half hour earlier than for a normal game. The T-Birds will face the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday, January 4, at 5:05 p.m. in the second game at ShoWare Center.
The T-Birds encourage their fans to stop by one of our many restaurant partners before or after the games on Grand Opening weekend. These great partners include Poppa's Pub, Fire Creek Grill, Pat's Bar and Grill, BJ's Restaurant, The Wing Dome, HD Hotspurs, Dairy Queen and Ivar's. ShoWare Center is having a Grand Opening Open House on Friday, January 2, from 4pm to 9pm. Fans are encouraged to come and tour all aspects of the building for no charge. There will be musical acts and performances, T-Birds autograph session, self guided locker room tours, Zamboni exploration, Harlem Globetrotter Buckets Blazes will be signing autographs and a very special Shoot The Puck ceremony.

T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
