Seattle Thunderbirds News Release

Kent, WA September 30, 2008 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has added free agent left wing Chris Cloud to the roster.

Cloud, a 20-year-old left wing, played with the Vancouver Giants last season. He appeared in 65 games and had eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points with 105 penalty minutes.

"Chris Cloud earned a lot of respect from us by the way he played in all our games against Vancouver last year," said Farwell. "We feel he can add a lot to our team and bring us some older determination and experience coming from a successful team. His game and style will be a welcome addition".

Cloud will arrive in Kent today and begin practicing with the team immediately. He will be available to play in the T-Birds next game on Friday, October 3, at Pacific Coliseum against the Giants.

The T-Birds next game is their home opener scheduled for Saturday, October 4, against the Spokane Chiefs at KeyArena at 7:05 p.m.

T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 425-869-7825. Purchasing a season ticket will ensure fans can attend both the home opener at the KeyArena on October 4 and the T-Birds first game in their new home, the Kent Events Center.
