Syracuse Crunch to Host You Can Play Night April 8

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch are showing their respect and support to all who love hockey with You Can Play Night on Saturday, April 8 when the team hosts the Albany Devils at 7 p.m.

You Can Play Night at the Crunch will celebrate diversity and inclusion in all levels of sports. Crunch players will use pride tape on their sticks during warmups with one team-signed stick being auctioned off on the official auction website following the game. During the night, the scoreboard will include LGBTQ messaging and a "You Can Play" PSA from Crunch players. Fans may visit tables on the concourse for more information about CNY Pride, the Q Center and other local outreach groups.

Tickets for You Can Play Night at the Crunch are on sale now for $20 with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Q Center, which provides a safe space for LGBTQ youth and allies. To purchase tickets, visit the Crunch office at 800 S. State St. in Syracuse, call the team at 315-473-4444 or log on to Ticketmaster.

You Can Play works to ensure safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports, including LGBTQ athletes, coaches and fans. You Can Play believes sports teams should focus on the athlete's skills, work ethic, and competitive spirit, not their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
